Tangan Lokal Café & Cooking Class

Excellent cooking class ! We really enjoyed their course of 2 hours, teacher was so helpful, sharing lots of information and history, recipes are provided, their food in the café was delicious and lots of options in the menu. Staff always friendly, good ingredients, clean. If you want to be more quiet or private go to the 1st floor.

Tangan Lokal Café offers a great selection of both local and western dishes at very reasonable prices, with a pleasant view from the second floor. The real highlight, however, was the cooking class with Ibu Ayu. She is knowledgeable, welcoming, and makes the whole experience both fun and educational. Highly recommended for anyone looking not just for a good meal, but also a memorable cultural experience.

Probably one of my favorite moment in Indonesia !! Small group for cooking class (we were lucky to be only 2, but she explained us that it’s never more than 4) so you can talk, learn a lot about Indonesian culture (food, religion, habits, ceremony, …) and ask as many questions as you want. The teacher is really amazing and show us every move, help us. The price is really cheap (250.000) and affordable for that beautiful experience : you can cook and eat one drink, appetizer, balinese curry, coconut crepes for desserts that was so good and we had so much to eat that they gave us take away box ! Really good music Moreover she takes amazing memory pictures and the place is really cute and nice to chill. Go there as soon as you can !

We're visiting Bali on our Honeymoon and loved the cooking class! The food we learned to make tasted so good and honestly better than the same dishes we had been eating in the restaurants. What a good experience. Ayu taught us about Balinese culture while teaching us to cook. I will be making the Sambal when I go back home! So delicious!

This has become a regular for us, great food, such amazing value, beautiful staff and off the hustle and bustle of the main road. Awesome coffee and the do Vegan and Vegetarian cooking classes upstairs. We sit upstairs for the view of Batukaru! The Pumpkin Dahl is just perfect as is everything else we have eaten here. Highly recommend it here.

We had a chance to participate in cooking lesson with Ayu. It was an amazing experience! She told us about the Balinese culture and the different ceremonies that are very important to them. Later we cooked together. It's a small, cozy place; we had private lesson. Ayu is very warm and kind. We highly recommend it! :)

What an amazing experience we had with the Tangan Cooking Class. It was so fun to cut all the fresh colorful ingredients while learning about Balinese culture and traditions. The open kitchen is overlooking the beautiful roofs of Ubud. You receive very detailed receipts to take home and cook your own version of the delicious dishes. Thank you so much for this amazing experience

We’ve been here 4 times already because we love it so much! the workers are so kind and friendly which makes the food taste even better! the menu is full with delicious food and drinks - healthy as well we haven’t tried the breakfast/brunch menu yet but we will for sure try it next time would definitely recommend!!!
